6. Slow It Down

Carbon dioxide is more important for our bodily functions than we have previously thought. It is intimately involved in everything from weight loss to depression and anxiety.

So big and heavy breaths on a daily basis, are actually not good for us, because it depletes our levels of CO2. The best way to prevent many health problems and extend our longevity, is therefore to balance the levels of oxygen and CO2 in our bodies, by inhaling and exhaling slowly and in a balanced manner.

Science has actually recently discovered the power of the “perfect breath”, the breathing technique used in mantra recital in all the ancient cultures.
